WordPress Plugins

These babies are here to enhance my WordPress usage. It’s kind of funny how most of them are spam-preventer plugins.

• Akismet — This is a spam-preventer plugin. I just recently started using it (as of November 2007), and it’s one of the default WP plugin that comes with the installation software. You need an API key from Wordpress.com, but it’s free and easy to get.
• AuthImage — This plugin generates an image where a commenter has to input the code for the comment to get through. I love this thing. After I installed this way back in the day, my spam level greatly reduced itself.
• Blogroll Links — Since I’m a PHP dummy, I couldn’t figure out how to display my links that are in WP onto an actual page instead of the sidebar. This is where the plugin comes in. Because of this plugin, I can now easily list my links on a page instead of just the sidebar. Woot!
• Live+Press — This is a new LiveJournal crossposter since the one I used before crapped out on me. This is very useful to have if you want to post your blog entries into your LJ.
