November 19, 2008 @ 8:43 pm

Four months ago, I wrote a letter to Pixar as a blog entry praising them for their movie, Wall·E.

Today, I saw the DVD on sale. Naturally, I bought it. XD

I BE HAPPY.
YAY FOR WALL·E.

2-D vs. 3-D Video Games

September 25, 2008 @ 12:27 pm

It’s always nice to meet fellow gamers. It’s infinitely nicer to meet someone who works with you who likes to play video games.

During my break, I had a brief conversation with my co-worker on 2-D and 3-D games. I mentioned to him that I don’t really like 3-D game because they make me dizzy. He instantly agreed with me, and we both mentioned Mario 64 and how it just drove us both crazy.

I also brought up how Final Fantasy 3-D is okay, like Final Fantasy X. It’s true; I can handle those 3-D, but 3-D like Suikoden III is just fugly and unappealing. Plus the camera angles always throw me off guard, much like Mario 64.

It is funny. I always thought most gamers nowadays like the 3-D stuff, and I was one of the rare gamers who like the old-school 2-D games. I guess not, though! Then again, I’m the same person who doesn’t like 3-D animated films like most of Pixar’s work, so I guess it goes hand in hand.

Mini Vacation Time! (And Chrome)

September 3, 2008 @ 8:03 pm

I Can Regain My Sanity
For the next five glorious days, I will not think about work, not go near the workplace, and just have some time to relax, hang out with friends, and accomplish some agendas on my to-do list since April! X_X;;

Yes, I took some annual leave Thursday, Friday, and Monday to make it a lovely five-day weekend. HOMG. I needed this. I really needed this. Here’s what’s on my agenda for the next few days and for the rest of the month.

Thursday
- Wake up at the ungodly hour of six in the morning.
- Go to SAHS to haunt the band room, play piano, and relive my volunteering/subbing days.
- Meet Elizabeth for lunch.
- Maybe go to Junggye-dong to meet Erin.

Friday
- Sleep in!
- Go to gym with Ubi the DS and play Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations for the third time.
- Meet Mike and swap letters for Final Fantasy III along with hanging out somewhere around Itaewon!

Saturday, Sunday, Monday
- Sleep for like twelve hours each day!
- Meet AJ.
- Work on couple website projects and other Internet agendas.
- Write fic.
- Watch more Rocky and Bullwinkle.
- Play Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, and The World Ends With You.
- Whatever else that I may find to do at the last minute. XD

September
- Wait for new credit card (hopefully it will come like it should instead of crapping out on me last month).
- Wait for new debit card and constantly worry if the old one will not work. X____X;;
- My huge list of Internet agendas that I do not get done this weekend.
- Continue with the fic writing.
- Work, work, and more work.
- Start and work on the October newsletter for work.
- Mummy’s birthday on the 24th — withdraw money for her X_X;;
- Keep a look out for three of my packages containing mangas.
- Get Hotel Dusk on September 11.
- And whatever else that may come up!

Google’s New Browser
I tried Chrome. Uhhhhh . . . I think I’ll stick with Firefox, even if FF’s been a pain lately, but I think it’s just my computer. Bah. I’ll kind of sit and wait on Chrome. I love my FF’s plugin and add-ons to give it up entirely, yet.

August 2008 Nostalgia Part II

August 25, 2008 @ 8:58 pm

Couple weeks ago, I wrote about my travels through memory lane. I shall be walking down that same lane again over the span of days or weeks. The only difference is that these three DVD sets will be my best friends. Come on, $13 for each DVD set? That’s not bad at all. Plus, I also ordered this. Yes, I’m lame.

Rocky and Bullwinkle! Dudley Do-Right! Mr. Peabody and Sherman! Fractured Fairy Tales! I WILL BE IN HEAVEN.

Oh and add my father to the list of watching Rocky and Bullwinkle. XD He shall be seeing these after myself, so both of us will be travelling down the SAME memory lane. X_X;; That’s actually kind of scary. I guess in some ways, the generation gap isn’t that huge between us.

Beijing Summer Olympics Closing Ceremony

August 24, 2008 @ 11:01 pm

I’ve watched the opening ceremony, so I had to see the closing ceremony.

It was . . . meh. Amazing, yes, but compared to the opening, it didn’t leave me that “WOW” impact. It was fun watching it, though. Watching it with my mother was an interesting experience, I’ll tell you that. She was very, er, enthusiastic.

Ah well. Now that the Olympics finally over . . . time to go back into my hole of not paying attention to current events.
