Suiko & Tales

October 25, 2006 @ 6:10 pm (Permalink)

Before I go on with the main point of this entry, here’s a link on what Golden Cadillac is made of.

Anways, I’m in video gaming mode… let’s see how much I can play once classes starts up next Monday. *sighs*

Last night, I started to play Suikoden 5. So far, my impression of the gameplay is: WAY BETTER THAN 3! As for the storyline, D’oh, I already spoiled myself a bit, but I’m still playing. Woot woot! Will write a more coherent review after I get more gameplay under my belt.

Today, Sarah and I stopped by the PX. I saw Tales of Abyss for PlayStation 2, and I squealed in shock and delight in my head. Shocked that the PX actually had a good game choice and delighted that PX actually decided to stock it! So must play that one day as well! Hope it’s as good as Symphonia. Sarah was happy and purchased Baiten Kaitos Origins…both of us are happy XD.

…Sorta. Now I owe my dad $40 bucks when I get paid next time. Yay for me… I need money, like, badly. I only have $68 bucks in my account. Damn classes for being so expensive! I hate being a poor college student! I can’t wait till I don’t have to pay for a class for a VERY long time!

Golden Cadillac, Oh My!

October 22, 2006 @ 12:12 am (Permalink)

NO MORE BUSINESS WRITING!! NO MORE MODERN NOVELS!!! … For now that is. Am officially on a shortened term break. Normally supposed to be two weeks, but instead it’s one week x_x;; I suppose that’s better than nothing.

Met up with Sarah and Ahmi to do our no-more-classes party XD Sarah and I ate at Asawon, a Chinese restaurant in Itaewon, and then we met up with Ahmi at Bless U. In out excursions, all three of us discovered a new form of “orgasm.” That orgasm happens to be the cocktail, Golden Cadillac. We were like OMG at it. That is the drink of the night, people. XD

After spending a few hours there, we then decided to hit a Noraebang (Karaoke) in my neighbourhood. We spent two hours there, ending the night with Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. That song is pure crack! XD

Ah, what a fun night. Wish nights were always like this, but alas… we all lack a certain requirement to have nights like this: MONEY. The joy of capitalism.

Final Week

October 16, 2006 @ 5:21 pm (Permalink)

I always hate this time of the term… the last week of school is always so stressful. It doesn’t help that I have a group project due on Thursday for my business writing class. Have I mentioned I hate business writing, and I hate group work? ARGH!

Our group project is to write a business report… and I chose the topic for my group: Comparing and Contrasting Wii and PS3. Har har har… that’s as far as my business skills goes. Although after doing the research, the Wii is very tempting… the Wii-mote is awesome! PS3 is just way to expensive… although I may consider buying for Suikoden or Tales of …. Those are the only two game series I really give a rat ass for. I am not sure about Final Fantasy anymore…

Anyways, along with the group project, I have a take home final exam essay for my Modern Novel class and my research paper, at least six pages long, about how Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut is a Modern Novel. All due by Saturday. ARGH!

…Shoot me now. I am so gonna go to Bless U on Saturday when this is all done with.

Friday the 13th, 2006

October 13, 2006 @ 10:45 pm (Permalink)

…Will always be remembered as the day I tried to start a new fashion fad and failed miserably. XD

The fad happened to be where a long piece of masking tape was across my right knee on top of my jeans. I personally thought it was very nifty. It’s a shame other people decided to be so boring and not catch on to my new movement of masking tape!

Okay, enough. The real story is that I did endure Friday the 13th’s bad luck syndrome. By any chance, I am not superstitious. However, today of all days, I walked too close to the edge of sidewalk, did not see the grassy area go lower, stepped onto that dip where my ankle wasn’t ready for it, and crashed into the ground. By doing that, I spilled my Starbucks’ Lukewarm Chocolate on my hand, ripped a whole in my jeans, and scraped my knee like a third grader with blood and all.

After getting it cleaned with rubbing alcohol (OW!), I went to the nurse and got some ointment on it with those clothy things taped to my injury. To prevent the hole from growing, that’s where the masking tape came in.

Surprisingly enough, nobody commented on the strangeness of my pants unless I joked about it. Weird. I guess they thought I put tape on myself on purpose…

But who knows… maybe I will start doing that and make it a trend. XD It didn’t look bad to me!

Riff Me Away!

October 11, 2006 @ 8:39 pm (Permalink)

I had to sub for the guitar teacher today, and she left behind a Guitar method DVD to show to her classes. In just five minutes, I learned how to understand basic tablatures.

Today, I actually played a guitar for once instead of just picking at the strings or strumming nonsense. XD I can play this one riff, name is beyond me at the moment, and it’s awesome.

Then a student gave me this sheet on how to play actual notes, and I think I figured out the E-string now.

Now I just need to find a guitar that is freaking smaller than the dreadnought, like the Constantina size or something. And I NEED calluses. Oh and must cut my nails. XD

So with this proclaimation, I can now play the following instruments to a certain degree:

* Piano
* All the saxophones minus baritone sax.
* Trumpet and baritone (where I can play four notes each!!!)
* Guitar
* Some percussion instruments

…Must add more to my “repertoire!”
