Game Cube Purchase

October 31, 2005 @ 7:45 pm (Permalink)

Yes, the subject pretty much says it all. I’ve bought a secondhand GC from a friend for $50 bucks. For that amount of money, I got:

* The GC itself and its multitude of wires
* 2 controllers
* The GC carrying Bag
* The Gameboy Advance wire thing (?)
* 251 Memory Card
* Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life
* Super Smash Brothers Melee
* And couple other games…

I’m still waiting for the memory card and the other games he promised me though. He needs to find them in his room.

With the GC purchased, I bought online, thanks to Dad’s credit card, two games. One is for GC, and the other is for PS2.

* Tales of Symphonia $19.99
* Star Ocean: Till the End of Time $19.99

You knew ToS was coming. Mwahahaha! I’m happy that I was able to find such great deals on these games and the GC. Woot. $50 bucks, and he said he hardly used the thing, isn’t so bad! In fact, I saved myself a lot of moola!

Kinda funny though. When I ordered the two games last week from Amazon, they estimated the package to arrive between November 14 ~ 22. Their estimation is a bit off, eh? I’m not gonna complain though. It arrived MEGA-FAST! That’s how shipping should always be. MWAHAHAHAHA!

Old Term, New Term

October 27, 2005 @ 11:53 am (Permalink)

Bah… my break between Term 1 and 2 is officially over today. In about six hours, I will be at my first class of Term 2. I’m happy though. I got A’s on both my IFSM and HIST classes. :3

For this term I signed up for:

* MUSC 130: Survey of Western Music Literature @ Tues/Thurs 6:30 pm ~ 9:30 pm
* ENGL 439I: Major American Writers: Twain and Crane @ Sunday 9:00 am ~ 4:00 pm
* CMST 385: Internet: A Practical Guide ONLINE.

So far, I have like two term papers to write for the Music and English class, and a webpage project for the CMST class. Oh Gods, that’s gonna be a piece of cake. I only needed one more Computer Studies class, so I opted to take this one online since I already know most of the course information there. I just hope the online class addition doesn’t kill me. *sighs*

I’m glad I’m taking the Music class though. This is the same class I tried to sign up for summer of 2004, and it cancelled out on me since not enough people registered. Well, it went through this time! Yay! I’ll have the same professor from my IFSM class. Goodie. :3

Tales of Symphonia

October 19, 2005 @ 9:20 pm (Permalink)

Aside from enjoying my lovely one week break from school, my friend, Sarah, got me addicted to Tales of Symphonia.

…To the point that I want a fucking Game Cube for one damn game! AUGH!

Too bad the US never released it on PS2, otherwise I could get it! *sobs at the fact that there are way too many different game consoles out there*

But it’s an awesome game so far. So addicting too. And of course I’m slashing the characters already. Yes, yes, I have no shame. I love the character interactions, the game fighting style (even if all I’m doing is pushing random button, the typical way of playing action rpg for me), and other technical aspects.

I especially love the plot. I already spoiled myself by reading the script. Had to satisfy my urge of curiosity. XD And I LOVE, LOVE Kratos. OMFG. He rocks. And that’s all for my squeeing here.

New Hair Style

October 11, 2005 @ 6:52 pm (Permalink)

I’m gonna have fun with this. I think. It just feels weird since I’ve had long hair for 10+ years now! *sighs* I want it shorter though. D’oh!

Here’s the image of the hair I wanted. x_x;; The example…

And the results.

Bah. I want it shorter now! Oh well.

Lots of Happenings

October 9, 2005 @ 12:26 am (Permalink)

* Made a new anime/game friend named Sarah. She just randomly overheard the conversation I was having with some people about video games, and being a gamer herself, she wanted to get to know us since not very many people around my age plays games or watches animes here. :3 That was about two-ish weeks ago.

* Finished my subbing for Mrs. Lee. *dies* NO MORE. I need a break.

* Yesterday was my field trip to Electronic Market. First hour was okay, then it got boring. I had to go, or I had to write a darn paper. x_x;;

* After the field trip, I went to Sarah’s house. She and I played Tales of Symphonia. It was pretty good. x_x;; I just wished I could play action rpgs better!

* Then we watched three episodes of Generator Gawl. I bought them over, so she could see them.

* Then we watched two episodes of Revolutionary Girl Utena. That was quite…funky. Surreal is a better word.

* Later on today, Sarah will come over to my place for a change. Then we are gonna part. She has a party to attend, and I have to meet up with Ahmi so we can celebrate her birthday. :3

* Tomorrow, Jacquie shall party at my place! Speaking of which, starting today, I get to have the house to myself till about Tuesday! I’m 20, and I NEVER had the opportunity to stay home alone for more than an evening! Woot! ^_^ My parents are going to 광주 (Gwangju) to visit my maternal grandma.

Starting on Tuesday, aside from going back to the band room to help Mrs. Lee, I shall be CRAMMING for my two upcoming final exams. So after a weekend of partying, it will be a week of studying and examing. Goodie. x_x;;
