First IFSM 201 Class

August 29, 2005 @ 9:55 pm (Permalink)

It was fun. I had the professor before for my music classes, so I’m quite familiar with him. I think the class will be pretty much easy for me. :3 Hopefully. I need it to be easy enough since I’m gonna die in the history class.

After tonight’s discussion, it’s scary to know that there are people out there who’s so unfamiliar with computers. I cannot imagine a life without computers now. The professor asked us to name a job where no PCs are in used. There is none. Okay, maybe a hermit, but that’s not a job technically. But seriously, even when someone mentioned prostitution, the teacher said that’s a job where computer can be used.

Amazing. Technology certainly impacted a lot on every day life.

DVD Splurging

August 25, 2005 @ 7:07 pm (Permalink)

After stopping by the band room, to get some more heads up for next week, I went to the PX. My main goal there was to find some damn undershirt. Well, that didn’t went well. I ended up going to the DVD section afterward. I went nuts in there. After I perused through the section, I ended up with a bunch of dvd. The total came to be $72.80. I was going to eeny meeny miny moe them to choose two of the piles.

In the end, I figure that since I saved myself money from all my torrenting, I decided to splurge and buy it as a end of the summer gift to myself. And I know I deserve something for the hell I’m entering next week.

So here are the following movies I bought:

* Rudy
* Big Fish
= $19.95 for together.

* Alexander (Director’s Cut, Widescreen)
= $19.95

* The Fifth Element (Ultimate Edition)
= $19.95

* The Last Samurai
= $12.95

Six Days Left

August 23, 2005 @ 6:00 pm (Permalink)

Six days left of my vacation before I hit back for classes. This term I’m taking the followings:

* IFSM 201: Introduction to Information-Based Systems (Mon/Wed: 6:30 pm ~ 9:30 pm)
* HIST 365: Recent America: 1945 to the Present (Sat: 9:00 am ~ 4:00 pm)

Seven days left before I go back to work. High school hasn’t started yet, but I already arranged 18 days of subbing. Whoo hoo.

Hopefully the history class will not get cancelled. I cannot, WILL not take a Tues/Thurs class. Since we are starting a week late, we have to make up classes every Friday for the next seven weeks. Therefore, that means classes everyday where I practically am going to be working everyday. FUCK. I did that last year and nearly died from exhaustion and stress.

I will be SOL if the class gets cancelled. I hope not.

Happy Birthday Aigoo Chamna!

August 15, 2005 @ 12:00 am (Permalink)

Damn. It’s already been three years since I purchased this domain, four years since I started owning domains, and five-ish years of webpage maintaining. Time sure goes by fast. I’m surprised I still am blogging, making webpages, maintaining them and whatnot.

It’s funny how I went through so many webpages in about five years. From my Geocities to Topcities to Angelfire to Dreamhost…my stuff changed. I went from the Geocities’ webpage making programme to Front Page to Notepad/Editpad. From there I went from .html to .shtml to .php. Even my blog changed. It went from Pitas to manual updating to Greymatter and finally Wordpress with Livejournal and Xanga on the side. I started off with Corel Photopaint. From Corel, Daddy got me Paint Shop Pro. Then I moved onto Photoshop.

My webpages went from a Zelgadiss shrine to a general anime site to a collective and finally to blog/collective site. I made a lot of websites and closed a lot of them as well. Even when I look at my webpage directory on my computer, something I’ve had since the beginning, I made 29 websites in five years. Holy shite. That’s a lot. Of course I only maintain about half of what I have now.

It’s just simply amazing how much I changed through these five years of using a computer for something other than surfing, emailing, and chatting. Of course, all the friends I’ve made over the years were wonderful too. Such a diverse group of people who we had a lot of things in common. If I had never liked animes, then I never would have started this urge to do webpage stuff. Then I wouldn’t have all these knowledge. And of course, I’d never meet a lot of the people I’ve met.

The last five years been fun. And I hope I can continue on for another five year. ^_^

My Life in a Nutshell

August 13, 2005 @ 10:40 pm (Permalink)

* After seeing a Chinese movie called Bishonen, courtesy of torrenting, I’ve discovered that Chinese actors are quite handsome. And two of them resemble these two Korean celebs that I had double vision for a while.

* Finished watching the following animes: After School in the Teacher’s Lounge, Ai no Kusabi, Boku no Sexual Harassment, Enzai, Kizuna, Zetsuai & Bronze, Sensitive Pornograph, Haru Wo Daiteita, Fake, Legend of Four Horsemen, Lesson XX, and Level C.

* Still need to watch: Earthian, Gravitation OVAs, Loveless, Mirage of Blaze, Mirage of Blaze OVAs, and Sukisyo.

* Suffered from my first hangover and hopefully LAST on August 12th. NOT FUN. I’m just glad mine didn’t last like three days after hearing one of my friends went through it as well.

* K is pure sex and orgasm. I bought his two single’s album yesterday for 6,000 won (6 bucks) each. Woot.

* Capriccio has updated. Enjoy the selections.

* Only two more weeks left of vacation. BOOOOOOOOOOOO! Time went by so damn fast.

ETA

* Daddy got me a 232 GB external hardrive. Coupled that with my 75 GB internal one, I’m set for the next years of downloading movies/animes! Mwahahahahaa!
