Fun Friday, Whoot!

Capriccio’s been updated.

And starting yesterday, my summer break finally started! Took the second part of my math final yesterday as well, and I got an 87, but I still received an A for the class. Go me. One more math class to go… x_x;;

So yesterday, to celebrate the beginning of the break, I met up with Ahmi and Yun Suk. Ahmi and I’ve been taking English 102 together, so it was a major relief for her that the class finally ended. Yun Suk, that dork, got back about a month ago, but didn’t have the time to call me till Thursday. We met, and then we decided to meet again last night with Ahmi.

All three of us met, and we went to 어쭈구리 (Uh-Jju-Gu-Li), this HOFish restaurant. We drank soju cocktails (ordered a normal apple one, and then we discovered they had a PITCHER for a bargain of a price and ordered the peach one) while YS had some beer. We ate dinner there, some variations of food, and stayed there till about 10. We had fun listening to all these jokes I had to tell. Especially my infamous “Bowl of Cherries” joke. XD

Then we all decided to go to 노래방 (No Rae Bang), the singing room (aka Karaoke). We had a blast there singing a mixture of Korean, English, and Japanese songs. Finally at midnight we left there, and then we talked a bit more out in the alleyway of my neighbourhood before we departed for home.

It’s so great hanging out with friends you’ve known for several years. It’s even better since we went to the same high school, so we can reminiscent our school days. And it’s great that those two are also musicians like me XD. So much to talk about. It was one of my better days lately. And the fun doesn’t stop here. I’ll be heading to YS’s house to start our Vision of Escaflowne marathon. Then on Wednesday party at YS’s house with Ahmi and whoever and spend the night. At least that’s the plan. Let’s hope it goes through. ^_^

Ah… the joy of vacation. I hope it’s a great one despite the fact that I am not going anywhere for the summer. Whoot!

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

July 16, 2005 @ 11:37 pm (Permalink)

I am such a nerd. I woke up at 9 am today. Got to the PX by 9:30. Bought the sixth Harry Potter book for $17.99. Came home by 10. Started reading by 10:15, almost non-stop till 5:30. So in about eight hours I read the book.

And I want the last, the seventh, book now!!!

I’ve posted an extended review on my livejournal, but I doubt anyone will read it. XD It’s heavy with spoilers, so don’t read if you absolutely hate those kind of thing.

Updating Whee…

July 12, 2005 @ 4:27 pm (Permalink)

1) Capriccio has been updated. Go listen if you haven’t heard these songs before. :3 Let me know what you guys think.

2) Smooth Strategist is a new fanlisting dedicated to Klaus Windamier from Suikoden 2. Go join if you like him or whatnot. ^_^

And am off to continue with Suiko 3. Oh and I got an A on my second essay for English. Go me! And because I ended up with A’s on my first two essays, the third one is optional for me. It’s offered for those who need an extra boost in their grades. I’m all essayed out, so I opted not to do it. I can focus on math and the poems more now. And of course, more games.

B-day Party

July 10, 2005 @ 12:16 am (Permalink)

Went to the restaurant owner, Istanbul’s owner, birthday party. Had free food and alcoholic drink.

Okay party I guess. Just loud. Went there and gave the dude Bacardi 151. Jac and I pitched in to get my daddy to buy it.

But I had one cup of beer, half of Jac’s Vodka/Tonic, and two cups of Gin/Tonic. Sadly, I’m drunk. I haven’t been this drunk since I went to Guam last year.

Dude. It feels good. I should do this more often. Hahaha. Naw. I don’t wanna get drunk all the time. Jac said I was a “cussing drunk.” Oi. Good thing I still got some control over myself. Otherwise Mum and Dad will both be after my arse now.

I think I will crash soon. I’m a combination of cussing/talking/sleepy drunk and boy am I am sleepy now.

Amazing Dreamhost

July 7, 2005 @ 11:38 am (Permalink)

I woke up this morning and checked my email, and I saw that they had the monthly newsletter out. My eyes bugged out of my skull after reading this:

That’s right! Every week, your plan limits will grow as follows, at absolutely no charge:

L1: 20MB disk and 1GB bandwidth each week!
L2: 40MB disk and 1.5GB bandwidth each week!
L3: 60MB disk and 2GB bandwidth each week!
L4: 80MB disk and 2.5GB bandwidth each week!

So, the longer you host with us, the more you’ve got! AND, we’re so nice we’ve even retroactively grown your limits based on how long you’ve been hosting with us already (up to a one year max)! If that’s not something to blog about, I don’t know what is!

Wow, huh? So at the moment I have 3.32 GB of space and 166 GB of bandwidth. Holy cow. It will continue to grow too.

Anyhoo, I received a 94 on my English midterm. Yay! Second essay is due tomorrow though x_x;; So after my math class, I’m going to be in here, the computer lab, working on the essay like a mofu. I could easily do it home, but I think I’ll be distracted by Suikoden 3.

Well, math class is going to start soon. I arrived to the Ed Centre early for the first time in three weeks. I’m such a sleepyhead. XD
