Canada Approved Homosexual Marriages

June 29, 2005 @ 10:21 pm

Article can be read/seen here.

This made my day. Now if only the US will get off its arse and do that or at least pass a Civil Union thingamagie. I find it so sad that a country like US, which was founded on the idea of freedom, is so prejudiced and restricts citizens’ rights as one like this. Of course other countries are just as hypocritical as the US, but it just infuriates me.

Only three countries allow homosexual marriages. That’s sad. Oh well. All changes come about slowly, eh? Some faster than the others, but that’s the crazy way of society.

P.S. - For those who do not know my sexual preferences, I am straight to the core. Don’t get the idea that I’m gay just because I support homosexual rights. Although becoming a lesbian sounds like a good idea with many of these straight men who are assholes… XD XD Haha! ^^

Bunch of Stuff

Take the MIT Weblog Survey

After taking this survey, I was quite surprise to see that I’ve been blogging almost for four years now. It’s quite freaky how fast time went by so far. There was a question there that asked how much longer will I be doing this. I put 3-5 years, but I absolutely have no clue how much longer I’ll go through.

On Friday, I went to the beauty salon with Jac, and whee! I finally got some grey streaks in there. Very subtle and I like it! And my entire hair is lighter. In a different light angle, my hair actually looks pale green though. Hahaha. Jac was teasing me about how my rabbit will eat my hair now since it’s her colour. Whatever. Before that, I met Elizabeth and we stopped by the PX and I found a pair of shoe (nice ones too) that were $16.95 and at 75% off. So about $4.27? Yeah. I am cheap with my clothes. I love these clearance sales.

I also saw Pulp Fiction. Wow. That was just. Damn. Defamiliarization to the core. And my English professor is right, Bruce Willis is a W plot, and John Travolta and Samuel Jackson story was an epiphany/episodic plot. If that last sentence made no sense, blame my English major side talking.

Speaking of major, yeah I’ve decided to just go ahead and major in English at UMUC. I got my updated evaluation back and I have 72 s.h. to go. Aiya. And naturally I have to take a horde of English classes. Well as long as I don’t have take a government/economic/business/accounting class I’m all fine and dandy. Although I do have to take Philosophy class to count as a Civic Responsibility credit… and an upper level writing class as in Technical or Business writing. EWWWWWWWWWWWW. Give me a story writing class instead. *sighs*

Oh well. So future English majors, look out, Tara is coming and revolutionising the entire system. Hahaha. Yeah right. In my dreams.

Two “M” Tortures

June 22, 2005 @ 10:38 pm

Well… it’s kind of a torture. That would be midterm and Math.

Let’s just say I have my English 102 exam next Monday and my second Math test next Friday.

Ew.

Oh, by the way, I hate Math with a passion. I do not understand why when I am majoring nothing dealing with Math and Science, that I have to know how to factor a quadratic or polynomial equation? Who’s bright idea was it that people need to know these evil Math techniques when we don’t use these everyday unless we are Math majors?! I understand the basics and the darn equations thing, but factor? I don’t care that (x+1)(x+1) will give me x-squared+2x+1!!

Factor sucks since my graphing calculator refuses to help me with it. Bah. And I will even have more fun when we get into the irrational bullshite. $#))*$#)*$#))*#$

On the bright side of all this, I received my essay back and found out that I ended up with an A-. Yay for me. Not bad considering I had no one to proofread it for me this time. *sighs* So my lovely weekend consists of studying for English and practicing those darn, darn factoring crap since I so suck at it obviously.

Lastly, I receive the letter from my uni that I made Dean’s List for Term 2. Well goody. Although I don’t see the point of that when they say that you will only get full honours recognition by maintaining a 4.0 gpa. It’s like telling me that “your 3.86 gpa is no good” in my face. BAH. 4.0 gpa is so fucking overrated, so who fucking cares? As long as I try my best, right?

Relaxation

June 18, 2005 @ 12:38 am

First essay turned in on Wednesday. First math test on Thursday. I think I did horrible on the essay, and I received a 96 on my math test. Whoo hoo! 2 more evil math tests to go. I swear, graphing calculator, or my wonderful TI-83 is my best friend in a math class. Everyone else in my class has those ghetto Scientific Calculator, and here I am graphing away on mine. XD

My life is utterly boring at the moment. So boring, that it’s relaxing. All I do is game and school. Of course my occasional happenings on the computer and hanging out with friends and talking about all the shiteheads, arseholes, and fucktards around here.

On the other bright side, Capriccio’s been updated. Yay go me. Although it’s quite disheartening to see total of 300+ downloads and only like 5 people comments on the selection. Oi. Is it that hard to leave a comment and say they enjoyed the music? *sighs*

Well, back to gaming. Mwahahaha! Suikoden 2 is fuuuuun. Oh and Thanh, I don’t want to upgrade my games. Lemon Salad, I refuse to play online games like FFXI or something. I’m old-schooled, old-fashioned, old whatever, but I like my traditional games on a platform that’s not a computer and onto a tv screen instead of something tiny like a PSP. That’s just my thoughts. And besides, if I buy more games, which I haven’t gotten any money for anyways, I’d never get around to them because I haven’t beaten my other games yet! I’m weird, yes.

More Gaming + School

June 14, 2005 @ 5:32 pm

Ho-hum. Remember how I started Suikoden 1 on last Monday morning? I think I completed the game by Thursday or Friday of that same week. That’s something I’ve never done before: finish a game so damn quickly.

Now I’ve moved onto Suikoden 2, where I just fooled around with my old saved files. Just started a new game this morning. Let’s see how long this will take me. I think longer since this game is technically way longer than the first one.

Oh and if anybody has a copy of Suikoden 3, can I borrow it or buy it off you guys? XD XD Or I should hunt someone down and make them tell me all about the game. x_x;;

Other than games, I have an essay due tomorrow for my English class, and a Math test on Thursday, and oh boy, my favourite, memorise 30 authors’ and their poem’s title for my English class. Bleh. Well, better work on the darn essay now.
