2nd Term Schedule

September 30, 2003 @ 8:33 pm (Permalink)

I got the new term schedule today (which is subjected to change though) and I am happy to say that there is an actual music course being offered. MUSC 210 is The Impact of Music on Life. Can you believe how elated I was? And then of course Engl 101 is being offered during the evenings so I can take it and still work or something.

The bad parts? Well the music class is every Sunday from 9 to 4. AUGH! But such sacrifices must be made. And the other bad parts…dad said he’ll only pay for one class. And I want to take 3. The third one being Intro to Psych. But no… I can’t even take two. damn it. Oh well…

I’ll figure something out. But I want to take the music and the English class badly. But at this rate I probably won’t be able to.

Bah

September 24, 2003 @ 10:52 pm (Permalink)

Who’s very happy that she can access her blog from her home computer now? Tara is. For the past few days, I couldn’t access this POS so I was pissed.

But now I can.

Not much happened really. Jen left on Monday. It was saddening, but I didn’t cry. Jeff and I are the only one left in the loony bunch now. How fucking pitiful.

Grumpy is doing fine btw. Saturday/Sunday he didn’t excrete anything and now he is. Wow. I never knew how much a bunny can shite! But I’m happy. It’s eating and drinking water now. Ever since my mum had the smart idea we break up the food into biteable pieces since the originals are too big. ^^;; But I’m happy that the lil’ bugger is eating.

I took pictures of it. Now I am awaiting for dad to develop them. Phwee.

And my midterm in EDCP went okay. The first part, I got a 89%. With the second part… I am not sure. But the highest I’ll get is a B. I know that for sure. I’m satisfied. ^_^ I didn’t really study for it either. I guess since this is technically a BS class I didn’t get to see what the big fuss was over midterms. I will see them next term perhaps.

And now I am shutting up.

Oh and a question: Would it be too “ambitious” of me to make a website dedicated to my dear lil’ bunny?

Meet Grumpy! And a poor Dog…

September 21, 2003 @ 12:50 pm (Permalink)

My fellow friends. I’d like to introduce Grumpy, my bunny!

I went to Myung-Dong, a popular (one of the many) shopping district in Seoul with a couple friends. We walked around and came upon those street peddlers selling bunnies. I saw this all-coloured (with a bit of white) charcoal grey dwarf bunny and instantly fell in love with it. That was the only bunny in that colour and I just had to get it.

So I got it for 20,000 won, about 18 bucks. For that I got the bunny, a container for it to live, and a bag of food.

At first I wanted to name the bunny, Sirius. Just cuz he looked sorta black and well Sirius’ last name is Black so yeah. But then I was like thinking about Orion. But after Jen and I looked at the bunny, we saw that it was pissed off, so the name Grumpy came to be.

Besides it’s a unisex name. And we have no clue what sex the bunny is yet. I’ll find out when I go to the Vet on base this Monday.

Yeah. Brought Grumpy home and parents weren’t real happy. Oh well.

On my way home later that evening (I went back out), I saw a black and white Cocker Spaniel. At least I think it was one. No one was around. I could tell by looking at it that it had to be owned by someone. The fur was neatly trimmed off and everything and well it didn’t smell. And the dog was real friendly. I took him to my apartment gate guard (actually it more or less followed me) and asked what we do about the dog. The gate guard had no solutions. He said to take it home with me and I was like, I can’t.

But whatever. I went back to the area where I found him and called home to see if I could… of course I couldn’t. So I walked on home and it followed me… while it was busy sniffing a tree, I went into the apartment. I looked out the door and saw that it ran around the parking lot area looking for me. It broke my heart when I heard him bark before I went up.

*sighs* I do hope that the dog is lost and the owner is looking for it. The poor thing didn’t have a collar or any sort of identification. I really hope he’s just lost and not abandoned. That fucking sucks. And I feel so fucking guilty for leaving the dog. My conscience is bugging me…if I could, I would’ve brought it home with me. But I couldn’t and that fucking sucks.

Mudslide…

September 15, 2003 @ 8:11 pm (Permalink)

You know what? Homemade mudslides are good, but I think I do need to get myself a cocktail shaker. Daddy won’t get it for me, so I may as well buy one. :3

I didn’t add any vodka in my mudslide. Don’t wanna get too fucked up. But daddy finally bought me Bailey’s Irish Cream, so I relished in the opportunity to make the mudslide since I had Kahlua. ^_^ But yes… I think a shaker is required and some ice cubes. Now if mum would only let me have a space in the fridge for myself to put in the ice cubes…

But yes stirring the damn thing is not the same as shaking it. But it still taste the same! ^_^ … I think.

Sleeping Beauty

September 14, 2003 @ 12:11 pm (Permalink)

Yes, I finally saw the Disney’s version of that movie. Amazing. After wanting to see it when I was young, but was unable to because the damn PX never had it on video, I have finally seen it.

I personally didn’t really liked it. Maybe I was expecting too much from the movie. Granted this movie was made back way in the days, but the way too fast moving plot killed it. The animations and the characters were good, but the plot killed it. It still doesn’t top Beauty and the Beast or The Lion King.

Nevertheless, the movie is still good. After all, it is a Walt Disney’s masterpiece. ^^ And it is perfect for the whole family to watch with younger children.

The music was pretty though. Once Upon A Dream was real pretty. And Maleficent was awesome. I can see now why she’s one of the favourite baddie of Disney’s Classic. She rocked. Merryweather was too cute! When she said “I think I’ll do what I thunk before,” or something like that, had me cracking up! That and the part where Flora and her were fighting over Aurora’s dress colour was hilarious as well.

So all in all… it was good, but not the best I’ve seen.
