AHHH! MI SON!!!

June 30, 2003 @ 1:23 pm (Permalink)

*grins very very widely* Yep. Mi Son is back! My bestest bestest bestest friend is back for a visit for … *sighs* only two measley weeks, but it’s better than no days I suppose. ^_^ But she’s definitely back. *scowl* Mummy made me believe she was still in Guam. Grr… But oh well!

Dang it!! If I didn’t have the heart to resolve some stuff with Livingstone, I could meet her today, but noooo. I have to put it off to meeting her tomorrow. *pouts* I want and need to see her before I die of impatientness! *groan* Sometimes surprises aren’t very good… if I’d known she was coming, I would have kept everyday for the next two weeks open… *sighs* Alas it doesn’t work that way.

But anyways… I am still HAPPY! *dance around the room wildly* Nothing can ruin my happiness today… and Livingstone better not ruin it. Mi Son, I WUB YOU!

Much Ado About Nothing

June 27, 2003 @ 4:34 pm (Permalink)

The version that I saw of was the one with Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson.

That movie was brilliantly done and protrayed. I first got introduced to this Shakespeare play by a fanfic called Too Wise To Woo Peaceably by Jaykay. It was a Harry/Snape fic in which Harry was Beatrice and Snape was Benedick. I had thoroughly enjoyed that story and thus got me interested in this play.

Well I finally decided to get the DVD. I got it and I stuck it in my player and wham, I was hooked. I thought the cast was very well picked with the exception of maybe, Keanu Reeves. Maybe it’s because he wasn’t in the movie as much as the other characters, but I thought from what I’ve seen of him, he seemed bland. I don’t think he plays a real good villian. XD. But yeah. Kenneth and Emma as beatrice and Benedick was perfect to the core. Watching them bicker like children with wits was hilarious. I was really surprised to see Denzel Washington as Don Pedro. He was pretty good, he fit the role well.

But really movie was wonderfully enjoyable and funny. The music and the scenery fit well with the movie and all. I think this has become one of my favourite Shakespearian comedy now. ^_^

50 Bucks Job

June 26, 2003 @ 7:17 pm (Permalink)

Well I actually left the house and stayed out longer than 30 minutes for the first time in like 6 days. Goody for me.

Ms. Lee called up my dad to see if I would be interested in working for her from 12 to 5 today and get paid $50. Of course I was interested. And you know I really love that woman if I was going to do the work for free. :3. But anyways I got there about 12 and before that my mum fought over my ears. x_X;; I was earring-less for not even a week and the damn holes almost closed up. Damn it was a bitch sticking an earring in there. And it hurt!

But anyways got to the band and got scared shitless by the MPs dog parked there… good thing they were in cages or otherwise, Tara the living person would have become Tara the dead remnants. Basically all I did for the next 4 hours was doing what I did ever since like 8th grade. Put away music and etc etc. It’s a bitch fighting with the filing cabinets. And it sucks being short. I had to stand on chairs to work on the top cabinets. Poor me…

But yeah I only worked 4 hours today. I’ll finish up my other hour and than work some more for FREE this time if she still needs me. :3. But yes I got my 50 bucks. Whoo hoo. Oh yes. I got a little graduation gift from her as well. An Angel Bear statue. Really pretty. And I found out that of all the Band and String Aides she had this year, I was apparently her favourite. *is proud* And it’s only because I would almost always be the only one out of the practise rooms and help her instead of doing my homework like the others were doing. Okay I’ll stop gloating now. Just a little shameless er… bragging here. ^_^;;

Oh and I also got 3 new dvds today. I was gonna pay for them with my earned money, but daddy insisted. ^_^ Hey no complaining there. These are what I got:

Pretty Woman
Much Ado About Nothing
(the one with Kenneth Branaugh)
Care Bear Movies 2

Yes the last movie is no joke. Sue me. I’ve been feeling nostalgic for the past few weeks. I am seriously regretting giving away my all-time favourite movies and shows I liked as a kid. I didn’t give this movie away… but the tape I had it on is … MIA. I have no bloody clue where it went. Bah. So yeah… ^^ Now I just need to get a new copy of Lion King. I really regret giving that away. And my 101 Dalmations. The animated version… *sighs* Oh well. That was the highlight of my week so far…

Tokki-Chan!

June 19, 2003 @ 9:58 pm (Permalink)

*big goofy smile*

I met Tokki-Chan today! It was awesome!

Finally meeting an online friend… what an experience. Anyways I told her to meet me at McDonald in Itaewon at 1. I told her I’d wear my “trademark” Adidas sandal with socks. XD. She said she’d be wearing glasses and had a black messenger bag with a red Kenshin.

Well I got there and waited a few minutes and saw a girl with glasses and etc come, but I couldn’t see the bag so I didn’t know it was her. She was the one who came up and asked if I was Tara, and yeah. Well I met her mum and aunt and supposedly her brother (didn’t see him though). So we had a few hours to hang out.

Well we stopped by my house for and I showed her the realm of TC. XD. We went through my anime collection and I ended up giving her this X Clamp Postcard set. She gave me 3 Heero/Duo Shounen Ai Doujinshi booklet~!! *squeals* And I got Hershey Hugs from Rita, a friend of Tokki-Chan who couldn’t come >_< ;; I wish she did. She's awesome too...

Then I signed her on base. Her parents never been on this base before so they are rather curious about this place. She’s the first person in her family to come on base. ^_^ I showed her the high school I attended and Dragon Hill Lodge, the hotel. We met up with Jen. We had a nice conversation. Then we ate at Oasis. ^^

Tokki-Chan seemed to think that the base was a nice place. According to her “This is like a country club place, except instead of golf course, it’s an army country club.” LOL. Yep… I guess that’s one way to describe the base.

After that I took her back to Itaewon so she could rejoin her family. I got to see her older brother’s face this time, and … BOY can I say he was CUTE?! *drools* ANYWAYS…

But yeah it was a fun day. I’m only sad that we aren’t gonna meet again… oh well. At least we met this time! Last time she came, we didn’t meet. x_x; Oh well. Today was a wonderful day!
